What Good Kitties!!

Sometimes, unforeseen and unfortunate incidents happen to the best and most vigilant of us.  The extremely proud mum of two TucsonTonks shares what happened at her house:

A few days ago we went shopping, leaving Saffy and Sophie safely at home, or so we thought!

Unbeknownst to us, the front door didn't latch behind us when we left, and 2½ hours later, when we returned home, the front door was wide open.  As we came down the driveway, my heart nearly stopped, and I thought both my babies were gone!

Saffy knows her way around as she's been on many leashed adventures, but Sophie has never been beyond the front door into the garden beyond.  With a racing heart I ran for the front door, and there were both our babies, sitting back from the doorway, waiting for us to return!

I have NEVER been more proud of our 2 girls!!

I'm sure all the 'no's' they have heard when trying to sneak out the door played a huge role, and they were smart enough to know they aren't allowed out that front door unsupervised!  So, so proud of them both!!                            ❤️❤️

Thank you for the story and I am thrilled there was a happy ending.

Cats get out...   It happens. And I well know the panic associated with missing cats.  Remember, if your cats do get out and you can't find them, don't panic yet.  They likely did not go far.  Put their favorite smelly food out, grab a chair and sit out there and read a book, sometimes out loud. If its nighttime, grab a flashlight as their eyes will glow in the light and to check the trees and other high perches. They have great hearing and sense of smell... when they feel safe, they will come to you but you know cats... they need to do it in their own time.
